Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Stay Green app and the getstaygreen.com website ("Stay Green", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, activating, or subscribing to Stay Green, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

We have written these Terms to be clear and fair. They summarize our refund terms in section 6; please also read our full Refund Policy before you buy.

1. The agreement

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Stay Green. They apply alongside our Privacy Policy. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited or waived by agreement under the laws that apply to you. Where such a mandatory law conflicts with these Terms, that law prevails for you.

2. Who you buy from

Stay Green is published by an independent developer based in Sweden.

Purchases are sold and processed by Creem, which acts as our Merchant of Record. That means Creem is the seller of record for your transaction: it processes your payment, handles billing and tax, and issues your receipt. Creem's own terms and refund policy also apply to the purchase, and Creem may, at its own discretion, approve or decline a refund or reverse a charge independently of this policy. We never see or store your card details.

3. Your license

When you subscribe, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Stay Green for as long as your subscription is active, for your own use.

• A license key activates one Mac at a time (single device). You can move it to another Mac yourself by choosing Deactivate this Mac on the old one, then activating on the new one.
• Lifetime or complimentary keys (for example friends-and-family comps) are provided free of charge, "as is", are not sold, and carry no refund, warranty, or support obligation.
• You may not resell, rent, sublicense, share, or redistribute the app or your license key, and you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

We may suspend or revoke a license that is used in breach of these Terms, or where the underlying payment is refunded, reversed, or charged back.

4. Free trial

Stay Green includes a 7-day free trial: full features, no card and no account required. The trial is the intended way to evaluate the app before paying. When the trial ends, the keep-active features pause until you subscribe (the app stays open and continues to receive software updates). You decide whether to buy only after you have had the chance to try it.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal

• Subscriptions are billed through Creem at the price shown to you at checkout, for the plan you choose.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and you authorize the recurring charge, until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time through Creem (use the link in your purchase or renewal email, or the customer portal it links to).
• Cancelling stops future renewals. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund of the current period (see section 6).
• If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend the license until payment succeeds.

6. Refunds

Stay Green offers a 7-day free trial, so you can evaluate the app in full before you pay. Because of that, purchases are non-refundable once you subscribe, except for specific cases (such as duplicate or unauthorized charges, or a defect we cannot fix) and the non-waivable consumer rights set out in our full Refund Policy. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period. For EU, EEA, and UK consumers, by purchasing you consent to immediate access and acknowledge that you give up the 14-day withdrawal right once supply begins.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use Stay Green only on computers you own or are authorized to use, and only in a lawful way. You are responsible for following your own employer's, school's, or organization's policies, and the terms of any third-party services you use Stay Green alongside. Stay Green simply resets your computer's idle timer on your own machine; how and where you choose to use it is your responsibility.

8. No affiliation with other services

Stay Green is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, Discord, or any other service. Those names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners. Stay Green does not connect to, read, or integrate with those services; it only resets your operating system's idle timer.

9. Updates and changes to the app

Stay Green updates itself automatically (via Sparkle) so fixes and improvements reach you. We may add, change, or discontinue features over time.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Stay Green is provided "as is" and "as available", to the maximum extent permitted by law. The idle threshold is a proxy for how presence-aware apps decide you are away, so we cannot guarantee that any particular app will always show you as available, and Stay Green cannot override a status you have set manually. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory consumer rights.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, note them on the website. Your continued use of Stay Green after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live.
